The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 5500XD is a heavy-duty pickup truck produced by General Motors. It is the successor to the Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD models. The 5500XD is available in regular cab, double cab, and crew cab configurations, and with a choice of two gasoline engines or one diesel engine. It is the first Chevrolet pickup truck to offer a diesel engine option in a heavy-duty model.
The 2025 Silverado 5500XD is designed for commercial and recreational use. It has a maximum towing capacity of 36,000 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 7,345 pounds.
