The Vanderbilt Commodores football team will begin their 2025 season on August 30th against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Commodores will then host the Elon Phoenix on September 6th in their home opener. Vanderbilt will then travel to College Station, Texas to face the Texas A&M Aggies on September 13th. The Commodores will then host the Northern Illinois Huskies on September 20th. Vanderbilt will then travel to Nashville, Tennessee to face the Tennessee Volunteers on September 27th. The Commodores will then host the South Carolina Gamecocks on October 4th. Vanderbilt will then travel to Oxford, Mississippi to face the Ole Miss Rebels on October 11th. The Commodores will then host the Missouri Tigers on October 18th. Vanderbilt will then travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face the LSU Tigers on October 25th. The Commodores will then host the Kentucky Wildcats on November 1st. Vanderbilt will then travel to Gainesville, Florida to face the Florida Gators on November 8th. The Commodores will then host the Georgia Bulldogs on November 15th. Vanderbilt will then travel to Durham, North Carolina to face the Duke Blue Devils on November 22nd.
The Commodores are looking to improve on their 5-7 record from the 2024 season. Vanderbilt has not had a winning season since 2013. The Commodores are hoping that new head coach Clark Lea can help turn the program around.
